The nine miniatures represent a recycled popular image of Abraham ابراهيم biblical moment when he was commanded by God to offer his son up as a sacrifice in the land of Moriah. and later was interrupted by the angel of the Lord to sacrifice a lamb instead of his son. This image is usually printed on a large scale and sold in the souks in Africa and in Asia.

The work deconstructs this image by separating its different layers where each of them holds one of the elements that make up the image. It engages with the social perception that is tied to this historical imagery. By dissecting the myth behind it, the work analyzes the relationship between fiction and reality, and the representation of this narrative in modern culture.
